  55. A new "Event Recorder" will allow you to actually record
  56. and playback mouse movements, clicks and keystrokes,
  57. enabling you to build macros quicker and 
  58. easier than ever!

  60. An improved Macro Builder interface provides you with
  61. iconic representation of your macro steps and more 
  62. "English" terms for easier interpretation.

  64. A new Insert Button in the Macro Builder allows
  65. you to insert lines at any point in the macro without
  66. using the old arrow buttons for positioning.

  68. New Features Added in Version 3.2:

  70. AutoMate is now fully Internet automated.  Two new 
  71. macro commands under miscellaneous allow you to 
  72. automatically dial and disconnect from your Internet 
  73. connection. (No more hassling with your DUN folder!)

  75. AutoMate now allows you to insert macro data from 
  76. any existing procedure, simply right click on the macro 
  77. list in the Macro Builder and select "Insert Existing Macro"
  78.  
  79. AutoMate now enables you to easily duplicate or "Clone" 
  80. your existing tasks for fast re-creation of similar tasks.  
  81. Simply select the task you would like to duplicate and then 
  82. from the "Tasks" menu, select "Clone".

  84. Four new scripting commands make BASIC in AutoMate a 
  85. pleasure to use:
  86.  
  87. 1. LaunchProc: Launches an AutoMate procedure from 
  88. within a script.
  89. 2. ExitProc: Exits an AutoMate procedure from within 
  90. a script.
  91. 3. ConnectTo: Connects to your internet service provider 
  92. automatically.
  93. 4. HangUp: Disconnects from an internet connection.

  98. New feature added in version 3.0c:

  100. Command line arguments are now accepted for 
  101. manual launching of tasks.  To manually launch 
  102. a task from the command prompt, simply specify 
  103. name of the procedure (or reminder) after the 
  104. path and filename of automate.exe.

  108. "c:\program files\unisyn\automate.exe" sample procedure 
  109. =======================================================
  110. (Quotes are needed only around the path and filename to 
  111. AutoMate, the name of the procedure should not have 
  112. quotes around it.)

  114. ...would start AutoMate, launch the Sample Procedure
  115. that is included, and then terminate AutoMate.  The 
  116. name of the task should not be case sensitive.  There 
  117. are many useful functions that are possible with this 
  118. new feature:
  119. 1. Create shortcuts to AutoMated Tasks on your Desktop 
  120.    and then just double-click whenever you need them to 
  121.    execute.
  122. 2. Create shortcuts to AutoMated Tasks and place them 
  123.    in your StartUp Group for AutoMated "StartUp Tasks".
  124. 3. More knowledgeable users and consultants can now set 
  125.    up shortcuts to AutoMated tasks for less knowledgeable
  126.    users to conveniently run.

  129. Note that Unisyn can not provide support for the 
  130. included scripting engine with regards to programming, 
  131. syntax, structure, and debugging issues.

  133. For help with Scripting issues, see the Scripting
  134. Reference Manual, the scripting additions document, 
  135. or press F1 at the Script Builder Dialog.  Help in the 
  136. Scripting Editor is very similar to most professional 
  137. development tool in that you can highlight a word in 
  138. you code and hit F1 to see context sensitive help.

  146. AutoMate is a 'Tray Icon' application.
  147.  
  148. This means that when it is loaded, it uses and 
  149. will be located in the 'System Tray' (usually 
  150. located on the lower right side of the screen 
  151. on the Taskbar).

  154. consult Windows help, or view the section named
  155. 'Installation' in the AutoMate help.
